So touchy, just an opinion. The Dio Sabbath had keyboards as did Outer Limits. Try some Midnattsol, Tiamat or Catalfalque, great Gothic Metal.
I'm a huge fan of Dio, and many other bands that utilize keyboards (OSI, Chroma Key, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, the list is endless) but I just feel that you don't mess something that's perfect already. I didn't really know the Outer Limits had keys, I always thought Piggy created all the sounds with his guitar. I think some bands have suffered and lost their unique feel by adding keyboards into their formula when it previous wasn't a main instrument for the band. Govt Mule is a prime example. They lost their raw edge and now sound more like the Allman Bros, or the Grateful Dead than what the sounded like before. Anyway, to each his own, right. -------------------- yawn

If so, this is the polar-opposite of what was explained by Away and what was actually done with Katorz.
