I picked up the double vinyl Mastodon Crack The Skye yesterday. I blew my opportunity to get the gold/black vinyl of CtS from their web site and now it's already fetching $45 and up after selling out just a few days ago of the 650 copies they made.

I have recently changed my Linn Sondek for a newer one which has every update apart from Keel (very expensive!). It has a Lingo power supply, Linn Ekos arm and Linn Troika cartridge. It now feeds through a Musical Fidelity TriVista 300 (bought on ebay last year) into Celestion A3's (bought them new 8 years ago). The sound...oh my god the sound...is truly cavernous. Next job - upgrade the cables to chord interconnects and Kimber 8tc speaker leads.

It has taken me almost 30 years to get to this point. Lots of hard saving and just happening to be in the right place at the right time as far as the turntable upgrade was concerned - got over £5k's worth of turntable for just £1,300! The guy selling it to me was in bits as he handed it over. Gotta love ebay sometimes :-)
