Yep...leaving for Vegas tomorrow, I'll play a "slot" or two just for you gambling-types.

...and remember,

"Always bet on black!"

I love Vegas. Been several times. Even got married there. Then took my wife to see WCW Halloween Havoc the next day.

I don't gamble, I just love the food. Make sure to check out the buffet at the Rio. It's amazing. Have a great time. We expect a full review when you get back!

I just got back from there...my wife & I were celebrating our 17th anniversary, sans kidz. Here's the cool stuff we did, which I'm posting here for no reason whatsoever:

- stayed at the Excalibur & spent lots of time by the pool drinking ice-cold buckets o' beer.

- walking all over the goddam place, drinking huge margaritas. (Try that in Seattle where I live- you'll get thrown in jail)

- M&M World. Dark M&Ms, yeah!

- MGM Grand has an old-skool horse-racing game that's a lot of fun to play. 8 people at a time can play, and drunkly watch the small plastic horses make their way around the track. We thought it was fun anyway.

- The Vegas monorail is stupid. It goes *behind* the strip, fer cryin' out loud!

- Saw "Spamalot". Way cool. Saw it at the Wynn. Way way cool.

- Fremont Street Experience = worthwhile. Waiting for the "Deuce" bus to take us back to the strip = bollocks.

- lost $100. That was my gambling budget. Oh well.

OK, now this thread has devolved into "things to do in Vegas when you're not dead". Please add yours.

My head explodes, my ears ring, I can't remember just where I've been.

Yes, she sings alot of the classics:

"My Brainscan Will Go On" (the Titanic song)
"Love Can Move Megaproblems"
"Where Does My Hypercube Beat Now"
"If You Asked Me To Fuck Off And Die"

I love me some Voivod!

Whew...got back yesterday, the "flights" were from hell...going there and coming back were both delayed...I tell ya, nothing like sitting in a plane for an hour before takeoff! (the turbulence was also kinda crazy coming into and leaving Vegas, the stewardess's were saying it has something to do with the surrounding mountains???)

Oh yeah...up to fucking 110 degrees when we arrived!!!

Stayed at my uncle's house, so it was free room & board. Eventually got down to the strip friday night...just like Disneyland with alcohol!!! Waited for the 11:30 showing of the "pirate-fights" @ Treasure Island...got cancelled at the last minute due to high winds.

Got handed ALOT of free pornography on the streets!

Overall, it was a cool (hot) experience, but I'm definitely glad to be back in gray-old Seattle!

You know, God gave us Wikipedia to do this kind of shit.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll go listen to "The Color of my Nuage Fractal".
