Share your experiences with other forums than VVF.

I really like the NoMeansNo forum on "nomeanswhatever.com". The people there have a fantastic sense of humor and know something about interesting bands.

I only visit VVF.com. First i love being here. Visit at least 5 times a day. But i do not have the time (nor want to make time) to visit other forums. My wife tells me not to visit here that much. SHe says time must be spent better!!

this is the only forum i make time to visit. i get email digests of Porcupine Tree and a Porcupine Tree weed email digest, but as far as forums... this is it.

Same here. I have tried using other forums but it's like when you use the other hand. It doesn't feel right, and it's not as good.

Exactly.

I occasionally go over to Necrophagist's site just to see if and when they're touring. Rarely post as the place is inundated with teenagers.

I'm a member over there as well (so is Hypergrrl). I also belong to the somethingawful forums, the .id TFC guild forum (nerd gamer here), the harmony central forums and various other ones that I only joined to get some info or download something.

I belong to a bunch of other forums: Harmony-Central, Home Recording.com, Line6, Ultimate Meta, Brave Board, Halford's Quorum, and a bunch of others. Don't post at those ones much anymore, usually just read a bit.

My regular internet forum stops lately are VVF, JCFOnline (Jackson Charvel Forums), and a stupid place called Temple Of Snakes, which is just a bunch of assholes who used to post on the Iron Maiden BB before it went to shit a couple of years ago.

JCFOnline is awesome. I love talking about guitars, gear, etc, and I learn tons over there. There's some folks with amazing knowledge and crazy huge guitar collections. They're all very nice too.

This place is still the best though. No assholes, no dummies, just good folks. Oh, and Voivod too!

I used to be on the Maiden forum, what happened there? I couldn't believe the number of kids, um, teens that love Maiden!
Was part of one Black Adder forum, but forgot my name and password as soon as i registered!

Really, tho, this place is the best!

All sort of shit went down that led to the board being shut down - flame wars, invasions of other boards, inappropriate posts (porn etc). Plus, the mods there were a bit on the megalomaniacal side. Banning folks for nothing, deleteing threads, etc. It got out of hand and the band decided to shut down General Chat, then the whole board. I am not really into forums or chatrooms at all. But I still need my metal fix, and this the best place.

Here I get to indulge and share in the delights of Voivod, Coroner, Entombed, Sepultura, Celtic Frost, Kreator, and a small handfull of other bands from my teenage years whose music has 'stood the test of time' for me. (unlike the megadeths, mctallicas, anthraxes and such)

yeah,that seems to happen on every board at one time or another.
It's like having a different point of view isnt allowed on some sites.

This one is it for me.I've tried 3 others and all 3 just got real shitty real fast.
This one is pretty cool with alot of decent people.(Which is really something hard to find in a chat board).
