Nia, seeing as you desecrated the Blower Bass by painting the damn thing white already I doubt putting blue strings on it will damage it's metal vibes futher. So long as you've got the whole 'Addicted to Love' costume/lipgloss thing going on I don't have a problem with this.

Hmmm, seems they cost about 3x more than my normal D'addarios - and seeing as I just got Guitar #24 last Saturday I dunno of I can afford to restring them all with waygay rainbow coloured strings. (if I just do one there will be trouble from The Others).

Phhh, anyway you can't see my strings because my fingers they are so fast up and down the neck like a big blurry wooden wanking stick.

They look kinda neat, and if someone in Gwar uses them, you can't really say it's a poser thing (I mean, the Gwar guys probably eat posers for breakfast everyday).

But if they're more expensive, than I don't see the point.

well there's no point really, and i never even looked at the price. i saw someone playing with black bass strings the other day but they were nylon (boo) but it got me thinking about coloured strings. ANYHOO, ekh, it's not the blower bass. it's the kt bass which deserved to be desecrated. but i promise to only play it through a marshall.

I was going to say that it looks like something out of an 80's rock video. But, technically, it is something out of an 80's rock video.

Oh well. I guess blue strings would at least go with the zebra strap.

Do coloured stings sound/feel any different? Never tried them, but i think they're a tad too flashy for my taste.

yah, they're flashy but you don't really see them unless the lights hit them and they'd blend into the fret board so they'd just kind of pop on the body. if they're 3x more expensive then i doubt i'd use them on a regular basis anyway. maybe just for an 80s video.

Don't remember how much I paid for a set, but the guy who sold them to me recently passed away so I'll keep 'em on the V til they all break.

Keep playing the bass thru a Marshall Nia!
I like the foto of the P-Bass, btw. Reminds me of simpler times, before the 5 strings came along and blew my Marshall spkrs to hell!

On the subject of strings, I am very likely going to be purchasing a 12-string Hamer bass in the near future.

Stringing this beast will very likely bring me to tears BUT IT WILL BE WORTH IT.

Cool! I've got a Hamer Diablo here, and if Hamer wasn't my surname I'd have thrown it away because it's shit. And non-guitar people think I'm an egotistical bastard for having my name on the headstock! Looks nice though.
