END OF LEVEL BOSS Guitarist To Tour With FIREBIRD - May 5, 2006

London-based anguish rock outfit END OF LEVEL BOSS are continuing to write their second, as-yet-untitled album while scouring the earths for a new lead guitarist to replace the recently departed Jimm Ogawa. Meanwhile, END OF LEVEL BOSS vocalist/guitarist H Armstrong can be caught playing bass on the upcoming FIREBIRD tour (the band led by former CARCASS/NAPALM DEATH guitarist Bill Steer). Confirmed dates so far are as follows:

May 07 - The Macbeth - London
May 25 - Fred Zeppelin's - Cork
May 26 - Fibbers Magees - Dublin
May 27 - Katy Dalys - Belfast
May 28 - The Dunglow Bar - Londonderry

First Firebird gig was last night. Had a lotta fun pretending to be Cliff Burton for the night! Only got 4 hours kip so it's still a bit of a blur. I'll see if I can find some photos...

There's a new album already recorded. Bill played all the bass parts on it. I'm told it's coming out through rise above in the summer. It's an honour to be playing alongside Bill & Ludwig. Just playing bass again makes it fun too. I'll let you know if any more live dates come up. I guess there will be more once the album is released.

I had a jam with Bill Steer many years ago - he let me have a go of his white guitar while Carcass were rehearsing for ..Insalubrious

He was a really nice guy.

I still see Jeff around Liverpool all the time, but I haven't managed to catch Firebird live yet!

So how was it then? Is he still hair-farming? I like the way he actually sings now with Firebird...Well, I also liked the way he used to "growl" back in the Carcass days as well!!

I merely remarked that the lyrics to Carbonised Eye Sockets are the pathway to understanding Modern Civilised Thought. I didn't mention that his solos on Heartwork utterly rocked like fuck, mainly because he hasn't played like that since 1995.
