From Bravewords :Get Thrashed Creators Speaks To EXODUS "Right-Hand-Man" About Classic Bonded By Blood 2006-04-09 10:48:13 Creators of the forthcoming documentary Get Thrashed have posted a "great clip" with EXODUS right-hand-man Todd Gordon (who signed the band to the label he co-founded in the early '80s called Torrid Records) in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the release of the thrash classic Bonded By Blood (released in 1985). From the scene and seeds they helped create, Get Thrashed traces the rise and evolution of thrash metal from its early years, thru its influence on grunge, rap metal, nu metal and some of todays extreme metal bands. Get Thrashed is the story of the heaviest, hardest music of the 80s, 90s and today as told by the bands which lived it, the bands and fans that grew up and were influenced by it and the artists that carry the flag today. The show will throw new light on a genre of music that has gone from a simple rumbling in the underground to a loud, obnoxious and constant roar in the (almost) mainstream. http://www.getthrashed.com/about.html It's being screened and I have to say, i think it looks essential.
Given just how successful thrash was, in every sense, it deserves a lot more love than it actually gets. Also of note is the documentary by Rat Skates (of Overkill.), made I think overlapping "Get Thrashed", details here:
