You're not gonna fucking believe what happeded today...

My POD XT Live was delivered today by Canada Post. I was just getting out of the shower and I hear my wife yell that it was here. She signed for it and paid the duty and the guy tells her "I kinda tapped your garage door." I'm quickly getting dressed and I hear her open the door to look in to the gargage and she goes "Oh my god...". She gets the drivers name and shit (he was sure in a hurry to leave). Get there as the guy is leaving our driveway and I see that he's backed right into the door and it has buckled in about 6-8 inches. I'm very surprised it didn't come apart or pop off the railings. Check out these pics..

So I'm freaking out yelling and shit and we call Canada Post, our insurance company, etc and here I am going "Can we open the door? Because I gotta get my kid from school and then go to work!"
We tried opening it and no go. It's too bent outta shape. Not only can I not get out to pick up my kid, but the van is a renatal because our other one is in the shop, and this rental has to go back in the next couple of days. I don't want to bend the door back until the insurance adjuster sees it, or else my claim might get fucked up and I'm not paying squat for this. We finally got the okay from our insurance company to get 2 quotes on replacement of the door and to have it fixed so we can get the van out. We get a guy down within the hour and we can use the door now.

My neighbour called and saw the whole thing - the driver passed my house, came to a screeching halt and backed up and backed into my driveway apparently going about 40kmh! My neighbour thought my garage was actually open by how far in he went. I seriously think the guy was fucking drunk or something because there's no reason to do that at all. No fucking excuse. He should get fucking fired for this. It's gonna cost Canada Post $1100 to replace my door, and those assholes better not give me any grief.

At least I can open and close it now and the wheels are in motion to get it replaced. Sorry about the rant but I just had to vent.

Oh, and the XT Live fucking kills!

Yes. From my own experiences in the past...Canada Post sucks almost as much as Hrvatska Post. (Croatia.)

Thats one good thing Amerika has that i miss...quality Postal Service!

Sorry to hear about your Door, Nuc.
Not even some of the craziest UPS drivers are that bad.

Look at the bright side...
Soon you have a new Door which may slightly increase the value of your Home!
That, plus they didnt smash your package!

I don't understand... When you say America, are you talking about North America which included US and Canada or South America?

One way to avoid this problem in the future (if you don't work from home and are at work all day) is to get orders shipped to your workplace. A) Because you are there all day to receive it. B) If the courier is a shit driver he will crash into your workplace not your home

Sorry about your door Nuc; glad the effects unit arriverd in one puece though

Well, the Canada Post claims guys were here and so was our home insurance adjuster. We don't have to pay anything, Canada Post will cover the whole shot, including our deductable. We should have a new door installed by next week. That was one big pain in the ass, let me tell you. Oh wait, I already did!

I am not allowed to have stuff shipped to work, it's company policy. Otherwise work would be much more enjoyable knowing there was a package waiting for me.

You forgot to mention that Canada Post is insanely sloooow too! I've sent cds to Hex and Vroom on the same day, and Vroom (in Sweden) always gets them at least a week earlier than Hex. I think Canada Post must open up the package, listen to the cds, and then decide to pass them on to the intended recipient.

ummm.....I got nothin' today :-(

what is 40kmh? Convert for me pleeeze! I am ignorant when it comes to math, especially the metre sistema. I only know how to count to 4, then the song starts!

Nice avatar Meg!

theres only so many double kick drum'd songs with singers shouting the F word you can take before it becomes extremely dull.

It's a rushy 24,855557544 miles and hour.

Doesn't look fast, but in a driveway, better get your Krazy Kar off there!

Is it me, or 40kmph sounds faster?
