I gutted a closet in my new house and put up shelve from floor to ceiling to hopuse all my vinyl and cd box sets. It keeps the records out of the light, stored vertically so I can read the spines, and also poly bags on all the records help protect the covers. Perfect solution. If you are going to frames some (which I've done) try to put a peice of foam core behind the record to keep it flat. If there is no room for foam core (if using a metal frame with a narrow channel try to use a peice of mat board behing the record so the spring clips that hold the record inside the frame aren't ruining the cover of the record. USE NON GLARE GLASS, IT WILL MAKE IT LOOK SO MUCH BETTER AND EASIER TO LOOK AT. Try not to put them in an area where there's a lot of sun light. UV will fade the inks over time. There is UV glass that helps retard fading but tests I've done at work made me realize it's not worth the extra money, but non glare glass is.

GOOD LUCK

And they musn't be stored too tight. 'Cause when you take one out, IT WILL leave a trace on the other TWO lps beside it. Overtime, even in a poly bag (acid-free is the best - just like those for comic books and paperbacks).
