So here's a brief recap of the Top Rock De Babu with Away & Snake last night.Babu welcomes the guys and asks 'em how they're doing? "We're ok, considering the circumstances". Away says they're a little lost without Denis. Snake points out that Denis made sure to make perfect guitar tracks at home (without their knowing about it) and in his last hours instructed Michel to take them from his computer. Babu says the band's reputation is worldwide. Snake says that's due to Piggy's style, culled from all sorts of different influences. Snake also gives an example of Dave Grolh as one of the people who
uses Piggy chords nowadays. (Psychic Vacuum video is played) Babu comes back and once again talks about Voivod's worldwide recognition, and asks Piggy was as a person. Away says he was incredibly humble. Snake says he never could get mad at him. Both say they'll miss him terribly. Away says they've more or less inherited Piggy's musical archives and they have plenty of material to work with. Snake says "we're gonna be like the only band that lives with a ghost". There are hundreds of hours of riffs and tapes to sift through. "We're working on the 14th album and there's probably another 14 albums just in his batch of tapes". (Ripping Headaches video) Babu brings up the funeral. Snake says there were fans from Philly and Seattle there, and it was of course very emotional. Talks about the guitar-burning. Away says "We did it right! Like Vikings!" and laughs. Babu brings up the forthcoming album and dvd. Away says they found alot of cool shit in the musiqueplus archives so it should be a really cool dvd. Snake thanks the fans for their kind words during this ordeal. (Astronomy Domine, then Clouds in My House) End of show. It was really cool. Did someone made a .avi or .mpg with it yet?

Favorite part: Snake said that they're gonna work on the 14th album, but at Piggy's place there is music for 14 more albums! They basically said that Piggy recorded music almost on a daily basis, and that there was tons of music to listen to... Snake also said that when he was in cégep, Piggy was already a legend in Jonquière. He also said that he never got angry against Piggy, because, well, you couldn't get angry at him because he was such a nice, lovable guy. It was great to see them talk about Piggy. They played 3 videos (Psychic Vacuum - what a kick ass vid! -, Ripping Headaches and Astronomy.) And the host looks and sounds like a fucking amateur hosting a fishing show on a public access chanel.
