Who remember Emperor (xpecially the early)
...I found some Piggy-sound also in Gentle Giant's Pantagruelic Nativity. The guitar solo in 'altered state' by A Kissser of Sepultura is evidently Piggy-influenced. Opeth - blackwater park... About King Crimson, the album 'red' begin with an harmonic structure too familiar to me....

Opeth are very heavily Voivod influenced, as Nuke V noted. Michael Aekerfeldt lists Voivod as one of his major influences in most interviews.
Emperor is a good point, although I'm not sure if they actually used "Voivod chords" as such, the influence is certainly there. Darkthrone certainly do, the main rif from "Rust" on Hate Them is pure Piggy dissonance. Voivod seem to be very popular among the more respectable black metal fringes. Although it tends to be more the feeling on the first couple of albums that's emulated rather than the chords themselves, it's nice when they do turn up.

I read an interview with Mille in which he said that Piggy taught him some chords when they were on tour together in the 80's and he's been using them ever since. So you are correct!

Always thought the Prove You Wrong-era Prong had a lot of Voivod influences, not only Piggy's but Blacky's as well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aci-TMaVv1c
