my friend, and awesome drummer, marc-andre stars in this movie. i went to see it yesterday and i was blown away. totally worth the price of admission and then some."Québécois cinema icon Michel Côté, who co-produced, plays Gervais Beaulieu, the quintessential paterfamilias given to hockey, spaghetti and lip-synching Aznavour at family reunions. Danielle Proulx is mom Laurianne, whose eclectic piety is punctuated by a proclivity for ironing toast as she tries to usher each of her five sons into becoming their best possible selves: Christian (Maxime Tremblay), the nerd; Raymond (Pierre-Luc Brillant), a rocker with hazardously hard living habits; Antoine (Alex Gravel), the hockey thug. Zac (Marc-André Grondin), our protagonist, is the second-youngest of the clan, who struggles with proclivities toward "fif"-dom, as illustrated by his attraction to glam-rock in the midst of an old-school, blue-collar suburb. And Yvan, the youngest. Together? Their initials spell it out: C.R.A.Z.Y."
