Has anyone else here heard about this?

I just visited Napalm Death's site for the first time in a while, and there was a tribute to him there. Apparently the news came in just a few days ago, and the band has decided to close down their site for the next month.

I don't really know Nasum's music that well, but I've been impressed by what I've heard, and always intended to check them out live. I've been out of the loop with death and grind for quite a while, but I was really impressed with them, along with the last couple of Napalm records. This comes as quite a shock, and should show anyone here that the tsunami disaster was not so far away as we might see it. No idea what the future of the band is right now, but they deserve support either way. RIP Mieszko.

...That is, Nasum closed down their site, not Napalm, of course.

Yeah, I remember hearing a day or two after the disaster that he was missing, and knew then that the news would probably not be good. Very sad indeed, the guy had a brutal style.

I might be a bit "wrong" here, but didn't Nasum revel in death, dying, and misfortune?

Either way, RIP

A shame, but I saw this coming ever since he was announced as missing.

Terrible loss. Nasum were the best modern grind band around, and as well as being the forefront of that, by all accounts he was a good guy too. RIP, along with all the other people who lost their lives.

Nuclear Infusion: Didn't Nasum revel in death, dying, and misfortune?

No. They took a similar stance to the one Napalm Death have of leftist political influence in their lyrics. More socialist than ND are these days.
