I hate the yankees with a passion. Infact, it's too easy to be a yank's fan, especially these days. I hate them even more now that they have A-rod. (I'm a Seattle fan btw) Money buys everything in baseball, especially if you're George Steinbrenner. I truly wish there was a salary-cap because of him. I'm only thankful that they can keep losing in the division/alcs series' when it really counts! -------------------- http://www.reverbnation.com/paulenglish

No, I'm actually located on the other side of the country about an hour west of Seattle, and "YES", I'm very anti-stankees! There's also something else about the skankees that I truly despise: their fans! It's that mentality that the whole world revolves around NY which really pisses me off! (can anyone here really say that the last "subway-series" mattered to anyone except if you were from NY?) Boston, imho, is about true baseball, granted they also have a high payroll, but to me they stand for what's "pure" in the game! (I'd love to make it over to Fenway to see a home game at least once before I die, but I hear that it's next to impossible to get a ticket! Is that true?) As far as teams go, I'm definitely a "Mariners" fan, although they aren't doing so well this year. I figure that they'll be back on the "up and up" in the next couple of years or so. (that's usually what happens with teams who are in transition, hopefully the players we brought up from AAA this year will make their mark, namely "Bucky Jacobsen" since Edgar is now retiring!) And to me being a true fan represents an undying loyalty through good times and bad times! I generally side with The American League (except for Texas, Anaheim, and Oakland of course!) so you'd probably see me "sporting" many different hats throughout the year! Nevertheless, I'm truly a baseball fanatic, there's nothing better to me than watching that good 'ol duel between the pitcher and the hitter (I fondly equate it to a "chess-match" ) -------------------- http://www.reverbnation.com/paulenglish
