From Blabbermouth:

:::::

The film and television rights to RUSH drummer/lyricist Neil Peart's biographical journal "Ghost Rider" have been acquired by Scabeba Entertainment. Scabeba is overseen by Cathy Rich, the daughter of legendary jazz drummer Buddy Rich. She and Peart became friends after the drummer appeared at a 1992 concert in her father's memory and on a subsequent series of tribute albums.

"Ghost Rider" is a bold, brilliantly written, intense, exciting, and ultimately triumphant narrative memoir from a gifted writer and musician, who started out as a man reduced to trying to stay alive by staying on the move. Within a ten-month period back in 1997-1998, Neil Peart lost both his 19-year-old daughter Selena and wife Jackie, losses so devastating that they left him a ghost — physically a man, but with nothing.

Rich stated in an official press release that she is "thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to collaborate on such an inspiring story of personal triumph".

Scabeba Entertainment is currently in pre-production on the life story of Buddy Rich, produced by Steven Soderbergh and Miramax Films.

It will be very interresting to see this film when its done.
I cant imagine the pain Neil went through durring that period.

Much as I love the guys drumming, and have infinate sympathy for his double-loss, I'm sure I saw a woman's interest 'Made For TV' movie that covered much the same kind of ground.

'guy looses wife and daughter but finds love again' (probably called 'Finding Love', they normally lack imaginative titles)

It had the guy from Beastmaster as 'The Guy', probably the woman from Cagney & Lacey as 'The Woman' and it was filmed through some sort of cloudy sugary substance on the lens. It was about as harrowing as a Disney Schindlers List.

It was shit, but I was unemployed so I watched it until it finished. Didn't cry.
