Hi there,

yesterday i went to the MM gig in Amsterdam to escort my 16 years old neice together with my wife. i must say i had a nice time. The show was okay and the sound superb due to very good accustic of the Heiniken Music Hall. The hall was packed full with less then 20 year old people and their parents.
I really felt old being 36 years of age.

Further i was the only one (offcourse)wearing a Voivod ('95 Negatron tour) shirt.
But i did not see on single Slayer/Anthrax/Celtic Frost/Exodus or whatever shirt. I must admit that MM asks for a different kind of people.

Lots of people were looking at my shirt and had this look in the eyes: "nice shirt but what in the hell is it about"

I am getting old.
and i don't fucking care

Why frown?

Its not like you are a kid who went to a concert with their parents...not that going to a concert with my parents would be bad, but it would be a concert they wanted to go to and not because I was young and they were worried...or were they not allowed in without them?

Some concerts that I went to with my parents:

Cheap Trick- '82 with Saxon opening

The Police- The Sychronicity tour '83 with the Thompson Twins opening.

Joan Jett- '83 still supporting "I Love Rock-N-Roll"

And the most recent: "The Pretenders", with "Gay Dad" opening...back in '00

Hell yeah, i'll be taking Mille and Giyan, my two sons, to a concert when they are ready for it. One is 6 years old and one is 3 years old. They are allready banging their heads on some tunes i play regularly, for instance The Toy Dolls, Voivod (AR, TOL) and other nice tunes.....
