Yes, the new Enslaved definitely. If you must hear one great metal tune in your life, buy it, place disc in your player, turn volume to 10, and experience track 1: As Fire Swept the Earth. Surprisingly enough, nobody here has mentioned the new Ephel Duath album PAINTER's PALETTE. Nobody else comes close to their sound in metal today. IMO, they are the truest fusion of jazz and metal EVER. Atheist and Cynic only hinted at what ED fully achieved with this great work of art. I will say that I was lucky enough to hear a new band last Monday night whose uncomprimising talent will hopefully make a mark on the metal world soon. Cthon and I are good friends with their drummer(who tore apart his snare and kickpedal during the performance-the guy hits HARD). Name of the band is Man At Arms. I think NucVamp would get off on these guys. Note to Cthong: Guyana Punchline, one of your favs??? Sir, this was either an evil joke or you were extremely high. Please tell me you were kidding. Those guys are the letter s in the word SUCK.

SLAYER - War At The Warfield.Self explanatory. -------------------- "Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it."
