From Totalrock.com: Voivod are set to start work on their next album at Chophouse Studios, owned by bassist Jason Newsted – and they’re likely to begin the process on January 8. Talking to TotalRock, Newsted commented that this was Elvis Presely’s birthday, and as it was the day the studios first opened in 1992, he always wanted to try and begin something significant on the anniversary.

I think it should be like Angel Rat with four ballads heavy keyboards and a cover version of Loverboy's "Turn Me Loose" !

I don't think they can pick up where Phobos left off, because Snake's voice doesn't reach the places that Eric did, Snake can't do no Death Metal Vocals.

I quite dont agree... its true that Snake never had that genuine *death metal growl* but the earlier *throat and insults* style was cool... and the point is that he doesnt want to really thrash with his throat anymore but rather use it in a more melodic way (=sing)...
wish they picked up where Psychic Vacuum left... 80 minutes of variations on that theme would be cool...

I would not like to see Voivod recycle new ideas again, it was tried before and didn't work. Try something new, this would be the best way.
