Thin Lizzy - Black Rose (A Rock Legend).
especially "Got to Give it up", "With Love" and "Roisin Duhb (Black Rose)".

My favorite TL record.

I absolutely agree with you. That's what i've been telling people everywhere, that it's the best King album since The Eye. I still dont have the actual cd since it's only coming out in Canada on November 18th. Fuck. I dont even know if it will include the extra-dvd with it, either. I hope so.

Also the story itself is very good, and very cruel.

Wow! Sabbath with Halford on vocals! That most be something!

Now playing: nothing. I'm in my office, listening to the sound of my finger typing.

But I'm planning a walk at lunch time; think I'll put Voivod in Trenton in my CD player! (Thanx Greg!)

Yes it's true, I've seen the video bootleg of it. Did you notice when Halford starts singing too early on Children of the Grave?

You Like that album Skulhead?....

Here I am, a great Thin Lizzy fan and there is someone who likes Black Rose. I got it when it was released. Vinyl! I have played it so much there are a few schratces. Also have it on CD. Don't want to destroy the vinyl. Have to buy a new pick-up. Used to have a " moving-coil-pickup". Anyone knows about these pic-ups?

I just ...You really like TL!

I'm such a "cry-baby"....Skulhead your post made me put the BLACK ROSE album on the "table"...
Roisin Dubh....".......tell me the story of young Cuchulain..........tell me the legends of long ago"
Black Rose/A Rock Legend; Part 1. Shenandoah.....until part 4. Makes me remember......What do you think of the track "Sarah"? My oldest dauhter named after it, SARA.

Jimmi bain played the bass on "With love"
The first track DAYWT, I like sound of the drums in the beginning.

These songs can make make my eyes filled with tears. Can make?......No they do. I'm so attached to them. Listening to it the record right now.....waiting for an alibi.

cheers from a "cry-baby"

id like to dedicate this one out to warcorpse.

Toby Keith... (i love this bar) / voivodfan

Lyrics :

We got winners; we got losers;
Chain smokers and boozers.
An' we got yuppies; we got bikers;
An' we got, thirsty hitchhikers.
And the girls next door dress up like movie stars:
Mm, mm, mmm, mmm, mmm, I love this bar.
We got cowboys; we got truckers;
Broken hearted fools and suckers.
An' we got husslers; we got fighters;
Early birds and all nighters.
And the veterans talk about their battle scars:
Mm, mm, mmm, mmm, mmm, I love this bar.

I love this bar,
It's my kind place.
Just walk in through the front door,
Puts a big smile on my face.
It ain't too far; come as you are.
Mm, mm, mmm, mmm, mmm, I love this bar.

I've seen short skirts; we've got high-techs;
Blue collar boys and rednecks.
An' we got lovers; lots of lookers;
I've even seen dancin' girls and hookers.
And we like to drink our beer from a mason jar:
Mm, mm, mmm, mmm, mmm, I love this bar, yes I do!

I like my truck, (I like my truck),
An' I like my girlfriend, (I like my girlfriend),
I like to take her out to dinner;
I like a movie now and then:

But I love this bar,
It's my kind place.
Just toeing around the dance floor,
Puts a big smile on my face.
No cover charge; come as you are.
Mm, mm, mmm, mmm, mmm, I love this bar.
Mm, mm, mmm, mmm, mmm, I just love this ol' bar.

Happy Halloween everyone \m/ scary eh?

yeah, at least a good horror story, far from the cheesy Abigail 2 for instance...
and that DVD of King telling the story is nothing really special, but it gave me the creeps, yes... it was total darkness around...

Yeah, he sings the entire first line ("Revolution in their minds/The children start to march"), and then seems to notice he's outta time!

BTW, I didn't know there was a video of it!

I found it bizarre when Halford played those gigs with Sabbath, but it sure must be fun to listen to him singing some Sab anthems.

I, for one, got myself a live bootleg w/ Gillan titled "The Gillan Tapes". Don't know if it's rare or not, but it's kinda cool. And they played "Smoke on the Water" as the encore. Now that is bizarre!

i dont know of anywhere the lyrics are posted, but i can type them out for ya this album is 'Asylum' released in 1993.

heres track 1 & 2

(01 - the open door)

(02 - suicide king)
Cant see no future
cant see past today
one thing im sure of
ive got to change my ways
playing on my mind
wont seem to let me be
im gonna break it
When i look back on
things ive said and done
i cant help feeling
like a loaded gun
pull my trigger now
gonna see it all come clean
im gonna shake it
set myself free YEAH.

(04 - realize a dream)
Lifes many phases
dreams and mabyes
who am i ? stand amazed
all the dreaming - all the dreaming
in the cold still face of fear
realize
high high in the sky, never gonna die
high high in the sky, never gonna die
Lifes many phases
dreams and mabyes
who am i ? stand amazed
always dreaming - always dreaming baby
in the cold still face of fear
realize
high high in the sky, never gonna die
high high in the sky, never gonna die.

(05 - asylum)
Life was too confusing
when you were on your own
now lifes got you
feeling torn apart
now lifes got you
hating this world
to confusing
on your own
my child of love
the innocent one
within her eyes
her life is gone
the silent lure
for an unknown cause
no medical cure.

(06 - cyclone "instrumental")

(07 - feel like you)
when i look upon myself
see what i can be
i feel just like my brother did
you know i felt the heat
dont understand this world im living in today
i feel just like my brother did
you know i feel like you
when my time is over
you know we can be free
i look into your hazel eyes and felt complete
when i look upon the stars
it shows me where i am
i been this way all my life
i cant feel anymore
i wanna be like you
i wanna see like you
i wanna feel like you
when my time is over
you know we can be free
i look into your face of lies
and i felt deciet
dont understand your world im living in today
ive been this way all my life
i cant feel anymore
dont wanna be like you
dont wanna see like you.

(08 - scorpio rising "instrumental")

(09 - smokin joe)
Walking along in life
fell in a crack
selling my soul
thinking i might buy it back
she was so sweet you know
melting in glass
took us a while to know
this love couldnt last
smoking your life away
dont seem to care
living your live this way
just isnt fair
smokin joe listen up....
before it too late
give up the glass
and you just might escape.

(10 - forgotten image)
Once it was only a vision
now its days gone by
thought it would be your fulfillment
now its dreams gone dry
and when i look for wisdom
its hands are cold and tied
in times of frustration
yeah you look to me
and you see it in your eyes
its goin down
a face so tired
so long
i see it clear everyday
everything seem to stay the same
no fear
and when it all was over
and it bring my mind at ease
said that it' take a lifetime
well i guess its worth a try
forgotten image... /'killer guitar solo'

(11 - neanderthal)
lock me in the cellar
with my spoon and bones
woe the glory days are here
in my arms you'll always be here
lock me in the cellar
with my spoon and bones
woe the sadness overrules
in my veins you'll always be
my memories
your misery
she said its ominous
you know its not like me
lock me in the cellar babe
with my spoon and bones
i can hear the pistions howling
in my dream its sewn
in dreams of altered color
in my dreams you'll always be
you'll always be caught in my dreams yeah.

(12 - harvest)
Set out on your own
but i know where i'll find you
wandering aimlessly
such a sad way to be
what ya find come on
tell me what ya find
i dont know i dont know
harvest all your life
harvest all the life you lead
harvest your life now
In times of compassion and all that whats left
you spent your last buck on your last breath
id sell you my soul lord
just give me a shot
and help me relinquish the thoughts that ive got
strung out in the dogyard
and i cant feel no more
toe tagged in my basement
is this a death or a night in hell ?
harvest your soul!... /'more killer guitar solos'

Roger Bartlett's "Fool For A Blonde". From The Texas Chainsaw Massacre soundtrack (remember that scene when they pick up the hitchhiker, its playing in the van on the radio). From the original not that new piece of garbage.
