Lately, while feeding my mp3 player:KREATOR - Hordes Of Chaos; NAPALM DEATH - Time Waits For No Slave, Utopia Banished; AC/DC - Black Ice; MOTÖRHEAD - Motorizer; KING CRIMSON - Islands, Red; MEGADETH - whole discography; METALLICA - Portland Magnetic; EXODUS - Let There Be Blood; BRUJERIA - whole discography. -------------------- "Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it." Oh, and Schroeder, just in case you didn't buy it yet, the new Exodus is amazing. Dukes did a stellar job on the BBB tracks.-------------------- "Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it." great, yet another cd I need to buy!!! thanx for the info. I figured it would be a killer remake of a classick thrash masterpiece, but with the 'thumbs-up' from my Voivod comrads, I'll be adding it to my next Amazon order. How the fuck did you get the new Kreator? I have the release date as January 13th... so is it the usual typical unique, thrasterpice, face ripping, brutal, heavy as fuck, brilliant, album that only Millie and the gang can create? NP: the Giraffes - Prime Motivator... very fukin cool, very fukin heavy, very fukin groovy, very fukin fun!!!! -------------------- yawn

Uh, not exactly. It is by no means a bad album, it's just that they're becoming a little formulaic, as Skul stated on another topic. I love "Enemy of God", I think it's on par with the classics. Can't say the same about this new one, they sound less inspired this time around. Since I am a completist, will buy it at the release date, tho (who knows, it may be a grower). quote: Originally posted by newclear infusion: I was there!! I got it from their site, glad they had FLAC. Why EVERYTHING doesn't eventually become FLAC is beyond me. First time to ever see Metallica, gotta thank our buddies in Down for hookin us up.
That's cool, Metallica always deliver. I saw them on the Black Album tour, couldn't make it on the Justice tour. Also got it from their site, great sound quality. -------------------- "Forty-five moments of perfection translated through a cautionary escape into the perils of the mundane, the inherent entropy in ultimate order, and the potential threats of eternal, unchecked apathy in civilization; all cloaked in musical expression so thoughtful, creative and forward thinking that almost a quarter-century later, few can even comprehend it, much less match it." Say what you want about Metallica, they've certainly had their highs and lows, but they always look after their fans (whoever they may be... but it's always in the millions it seems). They've been getting their shows online and available for download in damn great quality for years now. Any diehard fan can only complain about about never having enough money to buy everything, and I wonder how many fans try to get every download of every show? Fuckin Crazy... I'm glad Porcupine Tree hasn't done this yet, and I'm glad I've been able to keep myself away from buying all the King Crimson shows availble on DGM Live.I think it's great to be able to have a recording from a show you attended or one you wished you were at, or one you know that just kicks fuckin ass. Between the merchandise, the hard copies on cd and dvd, and downloads, Metallica certainly does have it all. -------------------- yawn
