Ok, no lists here. Just wanted to know people's one favorite experience on the net. I could name a bunch of great times I've had on this site. But for me, probably the top moment was about two years ago. H was hosting a radio show that had a live cam. I came in late to it as I'd been out at a party. Unfortunately I missed just about the entire thing. Had like 10 minutes or something to interact. So I made a request for Ravenous Medicine. H first asked me where the fuck I'd been. Then he started cranking the tune, headbanging, and gave me the devil hand sign in the camera. Awesome!! That's as good as it gets people. This is way before we had the VVF chat and shit. So it was like the first time my interactive cherry was popped.

Then again...its always fun to be in chat when Mez, Noitall and Skulhed are drunk.

That time when h and Nell were drunk and fighting over a PC in an internet cafe was pretty good, but I'm not sure I could single it down to one moment.

heh heh! Glad I could entertain you mez! I think my dj-ing days are behind me. I swear too fucking much on air. Ah well....

As for my interactive experiences, I think they are all connected to Voivod. The old forum at god's zoo was my introduction to all this malarky, and has led to my main source of on-line entertainment since moving here. So it's all down to this fucking amazing band. It's cool getting to hook up with nutters like Emlyn too. I was talking to my stuck-in-his-ways old man over the weekend and he looked more than a little concerned to hear that I'd been hanging out with people I'd met on the internet. As far as he's concerned they're all rapists and child molesters, at least that's what he reads in the paper. Daft bugger.

I think my fave moment online was hearing that Snake was rejoining the vod. Although that drunken battle that ekh mentioned is a close second!

Hold on - just remembered. The most chuffingest moment for me is when I downloaded the new Voivod tunes only to hear my own bands demo blasting back at me! Classic how that went down! Still have no idea who did that. Some fucking genius!

That is a difficult question because the laffs keeps me chained to my computer. Revealing in the chat that I actually have to sit on two office chairs to accomodate both of my ass cheeks was the time I amused myself most (and it's all about amusing myself here people).

Mez I like how you distinguish between your 'interactive' cherry and the older woman who stole your innocence. Well there you go, there's another good moment, learning how Mez lost his virginity in a chat trail.

I never really used the net for other than information searching bofore I accidentally found Yuris site. blame my addiction on Voivod! "Blame Us", yeah, that' s what I do!

Since I've never seen VV live, one of the greatest moments for me was to see that Warcorpse had put loads of live empeethrees online for free downloading...hail to the chief!

also the aforementioned wars were good. well I didn't pay attenition to Puzzled becouse I thought she was Mez but the whole Invasion Of Nazi Elitist Nolifers affair was highly wntertaining.

On 2nd thouhght, why not join me for a drink or zwei? Hey, tha t reminds me o the joke h sent on the Jokes thread last winter, the one about two German spies in an Englih pub...that was a humongously great joke IMO! "nein, zwei" still brings a smile on my face. Cheers½

No way! You thought I was Puzzled? Now I have come up with some fairly entertaining concepts(Britny and Sister Exchange being my favs)but there is no way in hell I could create a character as mentally unhealthy as the Putz.

Britny's posts always had me pissing in my pants.
Fave moment on the net? That's a toughie. Had loads of laughs on the Maiden BB until it fell apart.

Seeing everyone's pics in the Show Yourself thread was a hoot. Still waiting for some of you to add your pic (warcorpse, where are you?

).
When the fuckers at my work logged in under my name and posted that Coldplay was my favorite band was funny. Then another guy there registers as Metal Moser and posts shit about me...that was funny. You should have seen me laughing as I kicked his teeth out.

I'll just be DAMNED. Mez, I gotta tell ya, that Britny character was genius. I was in stitches reading the posts of Britny. I always thought Britny was Kula's bitch.
I also thought Puzzled was a character that was invented by someone here, a forum friend's creation. Then the long, redundant replies had me thinking that this had to be another person, someone that would definitely be a loner in Valdosta.
I never saw the young lady's photo. Where would go to see that?

The funniest thread I ever saw was when some guy (I think from the UK) asked the forum what everyone thought of the band name that his band had come up with to call their combo. Someone deemed it appropriate to come up with an "alternate" choice which led to quite a few hysterical possibilities for the new friend who unfortunately never reappeared. Seems like there were a lot of potential bandnames that began with the prefix Goat_ .

My favorite moments on this site is when we start threads filled with stupid word puns that are totally pointless but soooo funny. Like the one about mullets ("Master of Mullets" and stuff), and the other one where we tried to come up with the name of Snake's restaurant ("Fuck off and Dine" and such.)

There was also all the VV show reviews from the US tour with Sepultura. It was like being on tour with them! "So YOU are King Kula!" Classic!

There were other great moments, they will probably come to mind later!

Maybe I could sound egoist, but my favorite moments on the net were :
When I first put onlyne my website.
When Yuri said that He would make a link on voivod.com of my website (oh no it was when it does it, 4 or 5 months later...)
And obviously when Warcorpse started the Voivodfan and this forum were less than 100-150 people.

I have quite a few in the 5 years or so I've been around cyberspace.

Highlights include:

- getting my website to an ad-free state of existence
- Stan Ridgway of Wall of Voodoo loved my site
- Dave Kerman of the 5uu's LOVED the ShitList

...but enough about the site.

- discovering VVF for the first time
- all of the incredible music I have discovered on the net
- extended flame wars with various nazi scum and trolls
- creating a Partridge Family Website on the Frank Zappa Message Board

...but my favorite moment is redefined everytime one of you
'drunken Voivod Fans' comes in here and creates all manner of havoc -
...and ESPECIALLY the next day when you return to 'assess the damage'

now THAT is ::Priceless::
