That is so cool! I'm totally down for doing that. I could record myself playing garbage on guitar, farting around with my effects, lay down a shitty drum track and label it "Jam Session 1993" or something. The wheels are turning in my head now. This is gonna be fun. Great link! Thanks!

Yeah, exactly the feeling I had! But you should title your tape "Thrash metal demo, 1982" to give it a more "historical" feeling.
