Did anyone get the new biography on Bruce Cambell yet "if chins could kill"

I also heard there's one on Paul D'ianno from Maiden.

I need to check them both out.

Well h, its the best £17.99 I've ever spent in a bookshop. Steep, yeah, but I picked up Lemmys book and it was very thin with huge font, double spaced....

The Dirt goes into a lot of detail into their fucked up marrages, drug ODs, prison, Micks illness, Vince's kids death (v.sad) and a little bit about the music. Actually, none of them can remember much about recording the music.

The last half is all post-Dr Feelgood, when they hated each other and no one came to see them anymore, but they handle it all with good grace, intelligence and humour.

Its nowhere near as full of sexual escapades as I thought (see Hammer Of The Gods for that) and far more humility than I thought possible from a hair-band.

Fucking essential reading, mate, couldn't recommend it more. Funny, sad, sickening and uplifting in equal measure.

Ah! I'm with you now. I'd forgotten (in space) that was the title of the crue book. Our bass player was reading that on our last packed-transit-van tour. I meant to borrow it from him but forgot all about it. He said it was excellent. I'll see if I can grab it off him.

I finally got my copy, what a great read. I like how it's broken up into different member's stories and how they contrast (and sometimes contradict) one another. The photos are excellent too.

God does not exist.
So neither does his son.
Sounds like a catchy title for "New Agers".

Bleech!

Trying to get my wife to read it! It doesn't have any horses in it though, so she's not interested. Maybe I'll glue a picture of Mr Ed onto the cover.
