What would your dreamband look like?
Here's my kinky lineup.

Bass : Lez Claypool
Drums : Stephen Shelton (Confessor)
Vocals : Snake with Barney Greenaway backing him up

And of course myself as their toxicated little manager.

Yeah. The true Voivod lineup with Blacky is the ultimate thing, that's what i love the most.
I just wanted some kinky alternatives
Mix some styles and thrash it around a little.
Blacky will always be my first choice in Voivod, and i'll be pretty interested in whatever he does cause things seem to end up great when he's involved...
By the way, if Shelton call's sick for one gig i'll consider John Bonham as a nice replacement Shame he's sort of dead.
There's no one heavier than the mighty Zeppelin banger...

Words & Illumination: AngelRat (just to observe all these genius beings)

The bands of my dreams already exist:
PORCUPINE TREE
KING CRIMSON
VOIVOD (preferably with Blacky)
PEARL JAM

I woundn't change anything about them, the members are perfect together...I know, it's a cop-out answer...oh well. Everytime I think of a great singer, I pick the guys he's played with, when I think of a great guitarist, I think of the singers that are in their band...isn't that why there together?

Okay I'll try it anyway, for a total experimental band of people that have never worked together (and probably never will):
MIKE PATTON - Vocals (and crazy shit on stage)
ROBERT FRIPP - Guitar, loops, sounds you don't he's even making, and to sit on the stool in case you need something to focus on while Patton is going insane
PIGGY - Guitar (I'd love to hear him improv with Fripp)
CHRIS MAITLAND - Drums and percussion backing vocals
CHRIS SQUIRE - Bass

Vocals: Thorsten Bergmann (Living Death - first album)
Guitars: Manthas(Venom)
Bass: Del (asshole from my old band)
Keys: Captain Hammond (Viz comic)
Drums: Animal (Muppet Show)

Now theres a fucking nightmare band if every there was one. They'd have to lock the doors to keep the audience in!

Can I choose two bands?

First would be Snake, Blacky, Piggy, Away by the time of Nothingface (after all, the idea is of a band I would never see).

The other is Motörhead, circa '83, minus Phil Taylor, plus Mikkey Dee. Imagine this, Lemmy, Robbo and Mikkey Dee, for Christ's sake!

This is more like a metal big band, but what the hell, the more the better

Vox - Snake
Rhythm Guitar - Tommy Victor & Piggy
Lead Guitar - Tommy Vetterli & Rob Cavestany
Bass - Danny Lilker
Drums - Away

If they'd do more industrial stuff, I'd add Dave Clarke to do the machinations.

PS. Tack så mycket för du vet vad, Vroom!
