I'm curious to know the age of the Wembley arena also. I have seen reviews of shows there for many years. The fact that those in the know despise the place is very interesting. A couple of the complaints Emlyn sited are true for the big arena in Atlanta, GA also. Security personnel can be rude but nothing is worse than the overpriced beer. That type of price gouging even goes on at the cool spots like The Masquerade & The Tabernacle, both also in Atlanta. What other kind of events take place at Wembley? Sports or anything else?

I've no idea how old the place is... I saw AC/DC there in 1986, and it's been around waaaaay before that. If you wanna read all the specifics on the place have a nose around here: wembley spec

Thanx for the link, h. Looks like the old Wembley was designed for music events. It's a shame the sound is so bad. I wish I was there to join ya'll for that show.

Holy shit! Hawkwind!!!
h, not only have I bought standing tickets, I have also ordered some 'consumables' for the night.
But now I'm not sure if Billy and Hawkwind will mix very well...
