Hi all,

Ron Levine from Holocaust here once again...just wanted to let you all know that our new CD "War in Heaven / Hell on Earth" is OUT and it KICKS ASS!! Everything is great -- the sound is excellent and the artwork looks tremendous. I can't wait for you folks to hear this heavy freaking mayhem!

This special Holocaust CD contains four tracks from "Primal," due in September (Iron Will, Black Box, Hell on Earth, and Transcendence), three tracks from the LONG out-of-print "The Sound of Souls" EP (I Smash the Void, Dance Into the Vortex, and Curious), and one rare track from the Japanese issue of "Spirits Fly" (War in Heaven). As I've mentioned here previously, "The Sound of Souls" is HEAVILY Voivod-influenced.

The goal for this CD is to generate enough revenue to bid in (and win!) the mp3.com auction for special placement on their home page for a week. That is MASSIVE exposure and it is only going to be possible with your help.

Hi Ron! Good to hear from you on here again!
I look forward to getting that CD as soon as i can.
Any Band that ties-in with VOIVOD...has got to be a good thing!

Sure would be great if HOLOCAUST & VOIVOD could Tour together...and come here to Dallas! (I can Dream cant i?)
Actually...right now the "Dream Tour" for me would be:

VOIVOD
HOLOCAUST
HANGNAIL

Now...as soon as i come up with the Millions of Dollars to Sponsor such a Tour...then we can put it together!

BTW...Is John Mortimer ever going to fix his Computer? Give him Hell!

wow...nice to hear from you Ron. I'm a pretty big fan of albums such as Covenant, The Courage to Be, Sound of Souls...very very good stuff. i really really dig the bass tone on Covenant alot.

ill have to pick up the new album right away!

wow i just read on your website that covenant is based on thomas covenant the unbeliever books.
i had no idea!!!
those books are awesome! donaldson is one hell of a writer!

Hi HatrossRig,

Glad you like our stuff. Yes, John Mortimer (sorry, King Kula, his computer is still down!) is a big fan of those books. I've been meaning to check them out myself. It's rare to come across someone who actually has The Sound of Souls, did you get it when it came out? Do let me know how you like the new stuff and thanks for your support!

ill be honest ,i dont own the real sound of souls, i downloaded it off of irc
if i saw it at a store id buy it right away though cause it seriously rulz.

No biggie, HatrossRig...it's not like you can just go to Tower Records and buy the thing! As a longtime Holocaust fan myself, I'm glad to be able to finally make some of these tracks available again.

just ordered the cd...can't wait to add it to my collection of Holocaust cds which includes:
The Nightcomers
Live Hot Curry and Wine
The Courage To BE

I just GOTTA get that Covenant CD.

I love the song 'Victory?' and bet the rest of the Album is great!

Soon as i get some money...i'll send it all to HOLOCAUST so they can buy some more Beer...or maybe some new Drum Heads.

covenant is super duper good. i love how it was released in 97 but it has that late 70s early 80s flavor going on in some of the tracks
totally original stuff
